Our Legacy

Gerald Washington's legacy began many years ago in the 70's, where he set out to do the one thing he's always done - take care of his family. With only a $400 investment and a fifth grade education, he began cutting frames in the carport of his home. A couple of years later, he began upholstering those frames, and over the course of 45 plus years, he built his reputation by manufacturing low-cost, upholstered furniture at promotional prices. Many have tried to replicate his furniture model and success, and they still do to this day, but few have succeeded. The most important things to him was his faith and his family, and over the years, Gerald, or "Pop" touched many people's lives in ways few will ever know. Through it all, he remained humble and down-to-earth throughout his long life, and his legacy still lives on to this day. Washington Brothers Furniture began in 2020 with the same business model and manufacturing process that Pop always taught. We strive to continue to keep the iconic business model alive, ensuring that his legacy, and the Washington name, will always be remembered.
